Each year, we recognise those supervisors who create the most inspirational, supportive and stimulating research environment for doctoral students.
Perhaps they have a pioneering approach to supervision, facilitate the presentation and dissemination of research, offer constructive employment and career advice, or provide effective and timely support, helping students successfully achieve their goals.
If you’re a Research student, and you think your supervisor is a worthy winner, we’d love to hear from you.
The nomination process
If you’d like to nominate your supervisor for this award, please complete the application form (.pdf) and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org by 26 March 2021 (deadline extended).
Once we have received the nominations, a panel consisting of Deans, Deputy Deans and representatives of the students union will review the nominations, in consultation with Heads of Department, identifying a winner from each Faculty, and an overall winner.
The winners will be announced at a celebration event in April, recognising the incredible achievements of both the Supervisors, but also the PGR community as a whole, to which all nominated supervisors and students will be invited.
The overall winner will be nominated to the national Times Higher Education Awards.
