We value our employees and recognise the benefits that result from a stable and secure workforce. Where a restructuring occurs because of organisational change or a need to reduce staff numbers, it is possible that some staff will be displaced. In such cases, the University will make every effort to redeploy staff to suitable alternative jobs rather than resorting to compulsory redundancies.
The HR Employee Relations team keeps a list of all those employees seeking redeployment. They are notified of all new vacancies that are approved and will contact the recruiting manager if there is anyone in the redeployment pool who should be considered for the vacancy. Such staff will remain eligible to apply and be considered for any future vacancies which arise at their former salary and grade.
