LinkedIn Learning (previously Lynda.com) is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos.
Watch the how to use LinkedIn Learning video if you're using LinkedIn Learning for the first time.
When you sign in for the first time you'll be given the option to bind your LinkedIn account (.pdf) with your LinkedIn Learning account.
On a mobile? Get the LinkedIn Learning app and sign in with your organisation portal (enter essex.ac.uk and then sign in).
Learning Paths suggest content in a specific order and Collections (formerly Playlists in Lynda) suggest content without a specific order. You can add custom content like links and pdfs to these.
You can recommend and share custom learning paths and collections with your students and colleagues. LinkedIn Learning also provides ready-made learning paths that you can recommend, share, or tailor to your learners.
LinkedIn Learning is a third party service. Your personal information will be stored by LinkedIn Learning, a part of LinkedIn Inc. The University works under contract with LinkedIn Learning so that your personal data will not be stored outside the European Economic Area.
