Climbing Clubs

You can get involved in climbing through the University of Essex Climbing Club, who hold beginner and intermediate sessions and can provide equipment and instruction. We also run a range of fun junior climbing programmes for children.

Instructors need to have the following current qualifications and a ratio of one instructor to eight climbers must be adhered to:

• Mountain Instructor
• Single Pitch Award
• Climbing Wall Award
• Climbing Wall Supervisors Award – specific to this wall

Speak to our team if you'd like to host a climbing wall party with us.

If you’re looking for something special for your child’s birthday party, let us create a unique and memorable experience that they’ll remember for years to come. Parties last for 90 minutes and are available for groups of up to 15 people, aged eight and upwards. They feature a variety of fun climbing based activities, under the expert supervision of our qualified instructors.
