Mathematical Sciences

The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers a scholarship of £500 to the top 10 ranked students at the end of their second year, based on aggregate year mark.


You must meet all of the following conditions:

  • be studying an undergraduate degree in the Department of Mathematical Sciences
  • be one of the top 10 ranked students in the department at the end of your second year. The rankings are based on your aggregate year mark and cover all undergraduate degrees offered by the department

This award is in addition to any other scholarship you may be awarded by the University.

How to apply

You will be automatically awarded this scholarship at the beginning of your final academic year if you meet the conditions listed above. There is no need to fill out a separate form or enquire about how to apply.

IIf you are taking a Placement Year or Year Abroad you will receive your scholarship when you return to the university for your final year.
