Impatient to master your craft?

Discover the value of a Masters degree at Essex and how it can prepare you for your future.

Life at Essex is full of opportunities. You'll work with world-leading researchers who are driven to make a difference and you can get involved with departmental research, speak at conferences or even work as a lab assistant. Whatever your discipline, we can help you go further and gain real-world, valuable experience for your current or future career.

There’s a lot to think about before applying for a Masters degree with us, and we understand that making the decision to do postgraduate study is a big one. To help you get started, why not explore our subjects, or grab yourself a prospectus to read in your own time. Some of our courses also allow you to start in January or study part-time, so this is something to consider when doing your research.

We've also developed a new Masters Preparation Programme, which is a short course that you take for free once you have received an offer of study for a taught course at Essex. It's designed to make sure you are ready for postgraduate-level study and is the perfect preparation for your Masters.
