Profile
Biography
My research focuses on critical approaches to the policy discourse of ageing, using participatory methods for giving voice to diverse experiences of later life. My doctoral research focused on understanding the role that space and place have in shaping older adults' experiences of belonging and social exclusion, and the way in which place relationships can either mediate or exacerbate the impact of material inequality. I have also undertaken several evaluation projects with public sector organisations, with expertise in the use of small area demographic analysis to understand service utilisation and inform service planning and resource allocation decisions.
