Profile
Biography
I am Lecturer (Assistant Professor) of Business & Management since October 2022 with an interest at the intersection of Human Resource Management, Knowledge Management, and (Counter)productive Organizational Behaviours. I completed PhD from the University of Hong Kong in July 2022 whereby I was Module Co-leader and Lecturer of Knowledge Management for master's in Library & Information Management program. The primary theme of my research is to improve the behavioural productivity and performance aspects of white-collar knowledge workers working as fulltime organizational workers as well as Gig workers in the Future of Work context. Thereby, I investigate the managerial practices, the factors, and the complex interactions between them that affects the productivity and performance aspects of the workers (non)favorably. My research deals with a range of ex-ante and ex-post aspects of the productivity and performance including but not limited to the task & contextual performance and (counter)productive organizational behaviours such as innovative behaviour, knowledge sharing, and knowledge hiding amongst others. I have published impactful research studies on the above theme in renowned subject-matter journals including but not limited to Journal of Business Research, Technovation, Journal of Knowledge Management, Computers & Education, and Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People & Performance amongst others. My research papers have achieved several distinctions such as Web of Science ESI Top 1% Highly Cited Articles, Best Research Postgraduate Paper Award, and Journal's Most Downloaded Article as well as appeared in European Union 2020 Innovation Policy Report. I have been PI and Co-PI of several grants amounting about 100,000 US Dollars from the University of Hong Kong as well as King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. I am an Executive Editor of Knowledge Management & E-Learning, a SSCI indexed journal published by the University of Hong Kong, as well as editorial advisory board member of academic and practitioner journals including Management Decision, Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, and International Journal of HRD: Practice, Policy & Research. I review for several journals including Journal of Business Research, Info & Management, and Studies in Higher Education amongst others. I was awarded Publons/Web of Science Top Peer-review Award in 2018. I love collaborating, helping, and supervising enthusiastic postgraduate students. The interested collaborators and students should always feel free to contact me on my email. My life is not just limited to the academia 😊. I like running, reading, and enjoying the company of my favourite people in my leisure time.
