Arriving at our Colchester Campus

Where to go

If you will be living in The Houses, Wolfson Court, William Morris, Rayleigh, Keynes and Tawney, Bertrand Russell Towers or South Courts, please go to Security at the Information Centre on Square 3,  You can get to them from the North by walking along the North Causeway from the North car park, and continue passed the Tony Rich Teaching centre, then under The Hex building, which will take you to Square 4, taking the stairs down to Square 3. You can access this from the South by heading down hill via the path opposite the Sports Centre, which takes you past the Towers to Square 3. Security are available 24 hours a day. 

Luggage

Please do not take your luggage or family with you to collect your key. It is fine to take you luggage if you have arrived alone.

Moving In

Please make sure you are wearing a face covering at all times and use the hand sanitiser available when you collect your key. Ideally, you will move your belongings into your flat on your own but if you do need help, you are only permitted one person to help you. Again, you both need to be wearing face coverings in the accommodation and adhere to social distancing; staying at least 2 metres apart where possible.

Where to go

If you will be living in Matthews Quay, Sainty Quay or Hawkins Quay, your keys will be available from the University Quays accommodation office in Matthews Quay 1 between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Outside of these hours your keys will be available at the Security Office in Hawkins Quay 2.

If the office is temporarily unmanned please call Security on 07460373172 and they will come and assist you.

Luggage

Please do not take family with you to collect your key.

Moving In

Please make sure you are wearing a face covering at all times and use the hand sanitiser available when you collect your key. Ideally, you will move your belongings into your flat on your own but if you do need help, you are only permitted one person to help you. Again, you both need to be wearing face coverings in the accommodation and adhere to social distancing; staying at least 2 metres apart from other people where possible.

Where to go

If you will be living in The Copse (Oaks and Poplars) or The Meadows (Cole, Conway, Arber, Tansley and Godwin) you will be able to collect your key from the main reception in The Poplar building at The Copse. You can collect your key from 9am. If you arrive and the office is unmanned, please call Security on 07460373172 and they will come and assist you. Security are available 24 hours.

Luggage

Please do not take family with you to collect your key.

Where to go

You can access this by walking along the North Causeway from the North car park, and continue passed the Tony Rich Teaching centre, then under The Hex building, which will take you to Square 4, leading to Square 5. Opening hours are 10am and 4pm, Security will be available here outside of these hours.

You will be able to use a trolley to unload your belongings after you collect your key, which will be available near the barrier in the car park. Please also make sure you only bring what you need and that everything is securely packed and easy for you to transport, as staff are not able to help with your luggage.

Seats must be booked by midnight on 25 September 2020.

If you will be living on the South of Campus in South Towers (Bertrand Russell or Eddington), please go to the upper foyer of the Ivor Crew Lecture Hall on Square 5. The ICLH is the silver round building near to the car park. Please use the entrance at the top to enter and exit. Opening hours are 10am to 4pm. Security will be available here outside of these hours.
