SPAH Seminar Series
The Philosophy and Art History Seminar meets every Thursday, 3:00pm-5:00pm during term to discuss a paper by a visiting philosopher, art historian, or a member of our academic staff. For further details, please visit our School of Philosophy and Art History seminar and events calendar.
Societies
The Society for Women in Philosophy is a society for staff and students who identify as women. They have meetings and socials throughout the year, and organise a Women in Philosophy speaker series. For more information and to join, please email Dr Lorna Finlayson.

Exhibitions and Conferences
The Art Exchange have free exhibitions by major artists throughout the academic year, often in association with the School of Art History. For more details, you can visit their website.
Our yearly MA Curating students' exhibition opens at Art Exchange in the Summer, with an opening party and a programme of talks and events.
You can also attend our Annual Graduate Conferences, organised by our postgraduate students.
Reading Groups
The Critical Theory Colloquium meets Mondays 1:00pm-2:30pm fortnightly during term to discuss classic and current work in critical theory and work-in-progress. Please contact Professor Fabian Freyenhagen to join.
The Race and Gender Reading Group meets every few weeks to discuss scholarship related to the philosophy of race and gender. To join, please email Dr Lorna Finlayson.
The Omphalos Reading Group discusses works on self-knowledge, consciousness and the philosophy of mind. Please contact Dr Ellisif Wasmuth to join.
