We offer vibrant, modern office space at Parkside Office Village on the Knowledge Gateway research and technology park at our Colchester Campus.
We’re investing a further £10.7m into Parkside as part of our ambitious plans to continue growing our business community and deliver more high-quality office space for Colchester and Essex.
Parkside offers companies the chance to benefit from excellent research links to the University, support for growth and access to our sport and social facilities including cafes, sport centre and theatre.
This year we’re starting work on the next phase of Parkside with 40,515 sq ft of flexible office space across four-storeys set to be ready for 2023. This new phase is designed to be as flexible as possible so it can accommodate a large anchor tenant or be sub-divided into smaller units depending on demand.
We’ve got plans for further similar office developments at Parkside in the coming years so watch this space.
We opened the first phase of Parkside in 2016, offering 20,000 sq ft (1,858 sq m) of modern, bright office space targeted at small to medium enterprises. The success of Parkside meant the second phase quickly followed and was completed in 2018, delivering a further 14,000 sq ft (1,300 sq m).
Parkside is now home to a supportive community of companies including long-standing Parkside residents such as content marketing agency Creative Quills, patent and trademark attorneys Sandersons, school improvement specialist TT Education and trusted independent experts on supporting children and families Willis Palmer.
We’re also home to national charities Multiple Sclerosis UK and the Royal Association for the Deaf.
The ESRC Business and Local Government Data Research Centre is also located at Parkside, as is our Institute for Analytics and Data Science.
Your office at Parkside will be just next door to the Innovation Centre, Knowledge Gateway now home to more than 30 start-ups and fast-growing business, which opened in spring 2019.
You'll also be close to our stunning £21m Essex Business School offering executive education options and MBA courses, plus Bonds Cafe for an ideal meeting place. From Parkside it's just a five-minute walk onto central campus which is home to the rest of our academic departments and a wide range of facilities.
