Open Door Policy

The department operates an open door policy. This means that a member of staff will always endeavour to see you if they are available in their office. This also means that unlike other departments where students may only be able to see their module supervisor during a set hour or hours each week, it is likely that you will find Mathematical Sciences staff much more accessible.

It does not mean that staff are available 24/7. We encourage staff to publish their availability on the door of their office so that you know when to expect them if they are not in their office.

To guarantee a meeting with a member of staff we recommend emailing them to set up an appointment in advance.
