Why choose Essex for English or Linguistics?

Aerial view of University campusThe Department of Language and Linguistics at Essex has been running degrees in English Language and Linguistics for four decades. In that time we’ve steadily increased in size, and are now one of the largest and most prestigious departments of the kind anywhere in the world. We’ve spent the past year revising our complete range of degree schemes, listening to what our students want, and introducing new schemes and new options.
