Department of Psychology. We are a dynamic and
research-orientated department with an international reputation for
the high-quality of our work in psychology and cognitive
neuroscience.
Our modern, purpose-built facilities and laboratories help
create a stimulating research-focussed environment, which feeds
into our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Our research
strengths cover cognition, mental health, neuropsychology, sensory
perception, social and health psychology, and affective and
cognitive neuroscience.

Our facilities include our Centre for Brain Science, featuring state-of-the-art equipment to directly measure and modulate brain activity, plus a range of equipment to monitor eye-movements and various indices of physiological response.

Our Research Experience Scheme enables our undergraduate students to develop practical research skills, while working alongside our world-leading academics on real research projects within our Department.
