Each Faculty is headed by a Pro-Vice-Chancellor.
A Faculty Steering Group, chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor meets
regularly and consists of the Head of Departments (and Centres where
applicable) within the Faculty, the Dean of the Faculty and the Faculty
Manager (when appointed). The Pro-Vice -Chancellor has line management
responsibility of the Heads of Departments (and Centres) within the
Faculty.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor is supported by and will work closely with the
Faculty Manager. The Faculty Manager co-ordinates the Faculty Support
Team, consisting of a Faculty Personnel Officer, Faculty Accountant and
a Faculty Academic Officer. There is also an External Relations link
person for each Faculty. This team comprises existing staff whose roles
have been revised to incorporate closer working with one or more
Faculties. The line-management responsibility for members of the Faculty
Support Team remains with the relevant Head of Section.
Other central admin functions such as Planning, Research Support and
Business Development will also link more closely with Faculties.
